About Team
Category planning team is responsible for optimizing Inventory Health for Myntra and ensuring right assortment availability for Myntra’s customers. In addition, category planning team is a central team which closely works with category, sell side, SCM; drives analytics to aid business decision making; works with product and technology teams to set up right and sustainable processes to improve efficiency.
Roles and responsibilities
Role:
The proposed role is for planning lead for Beauty & Personal Care category. The planning lead will work with the category team & sell side teams to drive key merchandising and strategic decisions that influence the category P&L |
Responsibilities:
Category planner will be responsible for category specific planning activities on the following levels
- Annual / Long term plans – Preparation of AOP (annual operating plan), Creation of assortment plans and brand seasonal buys
- Monthly / Short term plans – Monthly target setting, inwards capacity allocation, OTB management in coordination with finance and category team
- Reporting & KPI management – Tracking category’s key metrics – Top Seller Availability, STR, DOH, Ageing
- Closely work with central planning & supply chain team for inwards/storage capacities across warehouses
- Ensure optimum inventory placement across different WH/regions
- Liquidation of aged and slow-moving inventory
- Drive projects and initiatives to streamline process and increase process efficiency
- Weekly/monthly/season performance review and analytics support to category managers
- Autonomously drive and iterate on key analyses to uncover insights leveraging existing and new information sources
- Bring together insights to develop well-rounded recommendations and help communicate them effectively
- Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate effectively
- Mentor and guide the team; create an inspiring team environment with open communication culture
What we are looking for:
Skills Required:
Strong problem-solving ability – Candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation
Strong in Data analytics – Candidates should understand SQL and Python (Preferred). Should be highly proficient in Advances Excel (Must); Knowledge of automating processes is preferred.
Highly Action Oriented – Myntra as a culture has a strong bias for action and speed of implementation. Incoming candidate will need to own projects from conceptualization to execution
Ability to collaborate - Build working relationships with members from the other departments and be able to support the analysts within the team
Education and Experience Required:
- Professional experience in e-commerce / Retail /Analytics
- BE/BTech Tier 1 institute &
- MBA from Tier 1 institute and with a professional experience of 3-5 years
