Manager - Buying (Accessories)


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to optimize sales for a group of products
    • Daily tracking of sales – Plan vs Actuals and sharing the same with the team
    • Preparing the monthly sales plan and tracking the same on daily basis
    • Analyzing margins & Discounts
    • Tracking and analysing the Growth of categories
    • Monitoring the visibility and coordinating with the receptive for promotional activity
    • Interacting with the brand & category teams for the visibility plan
  • Planning
    • Effectively planning and forecasting orders to maximize profitability
    • Financial analysis - Sales, Margin, Discount, and Inventory related analysis
    • Tracking annual operating plan and Monthly plans
    • OTB working along with the central planning team
  • Range/Product performance analysis
    • Product/style level sales analysis
    • Analyzing the non-performance styles & taking correcting action with the team
    • Tracking sell through of the products
  • Inventory Management
    • Planning for the inventory flow for entire category
    • Collaborative Partnership
    • Liaoning with all the brands
    • Co-ordinating with brand team, sales, and marketing teams for the growth of category

Qualification & Experience:

  • MBA/NIFT with 4+ yrs experience in the buying/ category management role with relevant Accessories category. 
  • Strong communication and project management skills 
  • Strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation- Proficiency in MS-Office is must. 
  • Knowledge of BI tools/statistics
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment 
  • Previous experience in retail, e-commerce added advantage
  • Exposure in Accessories category (preferably Watches & Wearables)
