Senior Manager - Category Demand Management (Merchandising Operations)


About Team

Revenue sell side or category demand management team shapes demand at a category level across customer, visibility and pricing levers. It manages day to day activities with close interaction with category buy side teams. This team is a key driver for achieving platform revenue and growth, at the same time, scaling the respective category’s revenue. In that, visibility or merchandising operations plans and executes the complete in app properties to provide sufficient visibility, thereby - increasing business and growth for the categories

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Lead the visibility operations for all categories in Myntra
  • Synthesize business requirements into visibility interventions, provide detailed briefs to creative team and ensure timely execution of storefront properties
  • Create and execute Go to market plans across in-app, outside app marketing, CRM and social media by working closely with marketing and category teams
  • Create business unit level visibility plan month on month, track actuals vs plan and execute intervention to ensure revenue delivery
  • Allocate storefront properties across categories basis performance and need, define & measure metrics of performance and provide feedback
  • End to end responsibilities from planning to execution for category fests, brand days and tower events
  • Manage and improve day to day in-app visibility operations to improve funnel conversion


  • Responsible for driving the merchandising strategy for the categories, driving the acquisition and retention targets for the categories and CRM strategy for your categories
  • Responsible for driving the go-to-market for all launches and campaigns and events for all the categories and new brands
  • Responsible for executing all events in the app
  • Responsible for deriving insights from the data, come up with new ideas to drive the in-app funnel conversion
  • Responsible for topline for the platform and the categories by allocating the right visibility to each category

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university or college a must
  • 5 years of total experience 4+ years’ experience in e-commerce/ related fields a must
  • Should have In depth understanding of customer behavior, browsing and transacting trends, visual merchandising and execution
  • Ability to understand business requirements and providing requisite briefs to creative teams
  • Effective communication skills and strong stakeholder engagement
  • Previous experience in marketing, CRM a plus
  • Must have led a medium size team of 3 people for a minimum of 2 years
  • Able to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Results oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work individually with minimal or no supervision
