Senior System Engineer - UC

The UC Engineer is responsible for Design, implementation and maintenance of the Audio-Visual/ video conference and Telecommunication infrastructure within a dynamic and fast paced environment. The engineer is required to provide technical expertise in systems design and integration of unified communication and digital media components. 

This position requires 3-5 years of relevant experience in the field of enterprise communication and working knowledge on a variety of AV integrations, video conferencing and IP Telephony. A wide degree of creativity, latitude, ownership and Zeal to learn and work on new technologies is expected of the engineer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IP Telephony and Audio-Visual solutions along with hands-on support for all administration and maintenance related tasks 
  • Work with various stakeholders to gather requirements and device solutions.
  • Work on projects involving AV Systems Design and Integration using digital media components like switchers, Scalers, signal processors, etc.
  • Support Enterprise PBX system (Avaya Communication Manager, Ameyo Drishti, Asterisk/FreeSwitch based open source PBXs, SBCs, Media Gateways, etc.)
  • Perform quick and efficient diagnosis of issues (working with internal support staff as well as external vendors) and recommend solutions 
  • Identify or build tools to automate the bulk configuration and repeat tasks.
  • Troubleshoot Voice Links (PRIs and SIP trunks) and co-ordinate with Telco for resolution.
  • Generate SOP docs and end user “cheat sheets” as required.
  • General training of AV functionality to end users and L1 support teams.
  • Manage external vendors (Solution partners, OEMs) and closely work with other teams within Myntra
  • Prepare systems design and architectural drawings, specifications and contract documents



  • BE / B Tech Electronics Communication or any relevant Engg.  
  • 3-5 years experience in Infra/L3 support role Voice and Video infrastructure.
  • Experience in performing administration and management tasks with IP telephony PBX systems
  • Experience in audio-visual and video collaboration services like Zoom, Webex or Google Meet.
  • Experience in open standard (SIP/H.323) Video devices such as Poly, Life size, Cisco etc 

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of -        
  • Unified Communication applications and systems  
  • IP phone configurations, media gateway configurations, extension management
  • AV gears (Switchers, scalers and DSP) like Biamp, Crestron, Extron.
  • VOIP Technologies and Protocols: SIP, H.323, H.265, Web RTC, RFC2833
  • LAN ,WAN concept along with gateways, router, network topology
  • Should have basic knowledge of Linux OS, commands and functionality.
  • Other technical skills: TCP/IP, Basic scripting, TFTP, FTP, DHCP, HTTP, DNS
  • LAN ,WAN concept along with gateways, router, network topology
  • Good understanding on Network/Compute infrastructure and services.
  • Database management, backup / restore and basic queries to fetch data (mysql /postgresql)
  • Ability to interface well with multiple team members
  • Flexibility with work schedule
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
