Deputy Director – Marketplace (Planning)


Roles & Responsibilties


  • Lead for the Quarterly/monthly Omni and marketplace revenue model wise, inventory requirement, ensuring selection across stores and sellers and model wise profitability
  • Lead MP Overall Planning - AOP, Model Level Planning, Seller SKU planning, Event planning, brokenness management
  • Overall Store level planning, Create brand / city / store level projections for BAU and Sale days
  • VF and Discount management and giving inputs to Omni tram
  • Working with CDM and category team to ensure visibility and selection
  • Understand business priorities and design & execute process, which help address these priorities
  • Liaison with multiple stakeholders - this is a fairly cross-functional role, entailing collaborating internally with diverse team
  • DAAS & Analytics
  • MP rate card management, charting out the right commercial constructs for sellers


  • Influence various teams/stakeholders within the organization (pricing, planning, scm, category etc.) to meet goals
  • Ensure key metrics for the brands are being maintained as per the plan.
  • Work closely with the brand teams to ensure delivery of required business growth to the brands
  • Identify and execute ideas within the BU in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain and manage RTV approvals for the brands and optimize the overall inventory position
  • Identify and execute new levers of growth for brand growth based on customer analysis, market analysis and competitive landscape
  • Ensure profitability guardrails are met as per brand/BU guidelines signed off on AOP.
  • Set up the reporting process for overall BU

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with e-commerce, category planning, program management or consulting
  • Team management exp
  • Engineering for Tier 1 College
  • MBA from Tier-1 College (3+ year of experience post MBA preferred)
  • Strong problem solving ability – Candidate needs to exhibit structured thinking, strong analytical Skills and process orientation.
  • Highly Action Oriented –Candidate should have strong bias for action. Individual will need to own projects from conceptualization to implementation
  • Stakeholder management skills – This is a cross-functional role and candidate should be able to drive results while working with diverse teams
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
